I was there
and listened to the whole set under the stage, under an influence. This is as perfect a recording as possible.

If a man among you...
If you get a chance watch the brief video that circulates of this festival.
It starts with road warrior Garcia
giving his version of THE SHOW MUST GO ON
to a British journalist.
The video then shows the band playing
Mr. Charlie while some crazy WANKERS
dive into a round swimming pools worth of water
from increasingly more drastic heights
and fiery circumstances.
Literal Mosh Pit (Stage Right)
I find this to be a top tier ---1st set.
The band is on.
even with all the tuning delays
The band is freakin' on
Why did we follow Grateful Dead?
ONCE IN A WHILE
WE GOT SHOWN THE LIGHT
IN THE STRANGEST OF PLACES
WHEN WE LOOKED
AT IT RIGHT..
3,5,7,8,9,10...
For me DJG bringing it during PITB
is a historic marker for this entire time period.
"ONE or TWO moments
out of all WE have got"
Time travelling forward
(recall the days , that still are to come)
Without hesitation I put this show up
there with Veneta 72

awesome
Beautiful mix and sound quality!
Between this and the only other streamable material from this classic performance presently on the Archive (shn=9193, where you can hear the audience versions of these songs and boards of the final sets), we're missing board copies of only four songs from the middle of the show: Greatest Story Ever Told, Big Boss Man, Ramble On Rose, and Jack Straw.
